    Formerly a librarian, I have used my research skills to begin to communicate, both as a press officer and as a journalist.

    After campaigning with a local protest group for a year, I trained with City and Guilds in print, audio and online media, and worked for almost a year as an intern at Nigel Gearing Limited rising from Editorial Assistant to Features Editor for Furniture News and Furniture Production magazines.

    I became freelance in order to write for other magazines, and was employed as a regular columnist with Swimming Times magazine, writing about water polo.

    I have written for an Agency for the past nine months producing online news feeds.

    I am a member of the CIoJ and Sport Journalists Association.
